Further details of the meeting will be available in due course, but it may be worth booking flights and hotels early. We anticipate all active SIGs organising sessions for the Prague meeting, but with a new overall structure to the meeting. Participants also registering for the summer school can organise accommodation through the ACAI-01 web site (see above). We are currently negotiating a reduced fee for single day attendance for AgentLink participants. More information will be made available at http://www.agentlink.org/happenings/agentlink-july2001.html in due course. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- * Call for Exhibitors at Comdex/Orbit As part of the Orbit/Comdex Europe 2001 Exhibition in Basel, 25-28 September 2001, the i3 community is organising the i3 research village where the state of the art in intelligent information interfaces will be shown to an estimated 20,000 computer professionals among the expected 100,000 visitors. If you have important research results on intelligent information interfaces to exhibit, which could interest the Comdex audience and which incorporate the distinguishing aspects of the i3 community - design, technology and people - you are invited to reply to the call at http://www.i3net.org/ac2001/orbitcomdex/call.html. We find that both the exhibit opportunity and the video cinema opportunity for showing research results are quite attractive and even unique. We expect competition for the stands (exhibits and videos), so you should produce convincing evidence that your project/results deserves to be shown at Comdex. If you are selected as exhibitor, we will help you with the formality of becoming a member of the i3 community, which is a prerequisite for joining us at Comdex. What is needed is a description of your organisation demonstrating that it does high-quality research in the i3 area. We would assume that this is evident from your having been selected to exhibit together with the i3 community at Comdex. Membership is described at: http://www.i3net.org/ser_pub/join-i3/i3member.html On behalf of the chairs of the Organising Committee Richard Noss and Thomas Rist ----------------------------------------------------------------------
