The project will run until 31 December 2005. Co-ordination for the project will be undertaken by Peter McBurney from the University of Liverpool and Terry Payne from the University of Southampton, UK. You can contact us via: Peter McBurney: p.j.mcburney@csc.liv.ac.uk Terry Payne: trp@ecs.soton.ac.uk There will be several changes in the structure of AgentLink III from what has gone before, and more details of these changes will be provided in due course. However, AgentLink III will seek to continue the previous activities in one form or another. For example, we have already decided on a date and location for the 2004 European Agent Systems Summer School (EASSS 2004). This will be held in Liverpool, UK, from 5 - 9 July 2004, ably organized by Wiebe van der Hoek and his team. Details are still being finalized, so please watch this page for updates: http://www.agentlink.org/happenings/easss/2004/index.html Organizations that were members of AgentLink in the past WILL need to complete a new membership application form for AgentLink III. We will inform everyone of the procedures for doing this within the next few weeks. Because this is a project under the new Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) of the EC, many rules and administration procedures are different from the past, and we are currently putting in place the people and systems for the new project. Please bear with us while they are put in place. Finally, our success in winning sponsorship from the EC for a third AgentLink project would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Michael Luck over the last 4 years! All involved in AgentLink III are very grateful to Mike for his immense contribution. -- Peter McBurney and Terry Payne
