NEW CALL FOR TECHNOLOGY TAKE-UP PROJECT PROPOSALS
Proposals Invited for Innovative Users and Suppliers of Agent Technologies or Middleware for Distributed Applications
European Commission

Call for Trial and Best Practice proposals closing: April 25, 2001
Agent technologies and middleware for distributed applications are becoming increasingly important in areas such as advanced telecom services, application services provision, community computing, and the integration of legacy systems. In order to accelerate take-up of these technologies in all industrial and services sectors, the European Commission has opened another Call for Trial and Best Practice proposals closing 25 April 2001. Proposals selected in this area will normally be clustered under the lead of organisations being experienced in the above technologies. as well as in dissemination, technology transfer and co-ordination of European projects. For bootstrapping this initiative, the Commission is currently negotiating a cluster of three trials with applications in different industrial sectors. The cluster is foreseen to be lead by ENEA. It is envisaged to extend the cluster by selected proposals from the current Call. Other qualified organisations involved in these proposals are foreseen to join ENEA in leading the cluster on a European scale. For more information on this Call for take-up proposals and contact points, please refer to:http://www.cordis.lu/ist/ka4/ipcn/take-up.htm
