Description

The University of Girona has participated in the past in Agentlink and Agentlink II. There are three research groups dealing with agent technology:

Agents Research Lab (ARLAB): which main contribution is on the advance on the research of the research discipline of Artificial Intelligence in distributed environments, and particular in Agent and Multi-Agent Systems. Main focuses of research are: dynamical physical agents, ecosystems, collaborative information agents, trust, social networks, case-based reasoning, recommender agents, distributed user models based on agents. The IRES project developed by the group been awarded with the Special prize to the best system actually deployed in the Agentcities network.

Broadband Communications and Distributed Systems (BCDS) which uses agent technology with two main purposes: dynamically manage and restore virtual path, e-learning.

Laboratory of Chemical and Environmental Engineering (LEQUIA) which uses agent technology in environmental applications.
