Description
The Autonomous and Intelligent Systems (AIS) research group conducts research into the development of technologies where autonomy, intelligence, and interaction are key factors for the computer systems of the future in industry, engineering, or commerce. In particular it specialises in solving optimisation and adaptation problems where autonomous agents have to get co-ordinated. The models and technology developed have been applied to traffic control, business management, bioinformatics, telecommunications, intelligent computing environments and the military.
