Description
The research at Rotterdam School of Management, has a strong background in
both IS as well as Supply Chain Logistics research; dating back to the a.o.
early EDI and Object Orientation days. Since 2002, the team is involved in
concrete agent technology research projects; which are strongly connected
with industry (e.g. logistical companies, but also software providers).
Among others our research takes place within a large (government funded)
four-year research project titled DEAL, which stands for Distributed Engine
for Advanced Logistics. In DEAL seven partners participate, and work towards
the establishment of an agent based inter-organisational planning and
execution system for the transportation branche.
Several (conference) publications done, other publications are currently
under review. Furthermore the team has a strong intention to continue in
agent-based research over the next years.
