Description
SEMANTIC SYSTEMS is a spin-off of the industrial group GRUPO ORMAZABAL whose technology focus is on the development and application of knowledge-based systems to a variety of complex problems, such as those involved in product and process management in modern manufacturing companies.
Born in 2002, it has inherited the experience generated in the former Systems Division of its industrial group, inside which knowledge-related RTD was performed for more than eight years in complex configuration applications.
Agent-related projects include:
1. Rule-based system for complex product configuration aimed for use by sales networks and customers. Currently in use by nearly 2000 users.
2. Integrated acquisition, management and exploitation of knowledge in corporate environments; it includes the development and application of a technology platform based on distributed agents and a ontology-based knowledge representation model.
3. Development and exploitation of an ontology-based representation of product knowledge and generic agent-based components for fast deployment of product configuration applications.
4. Semantic-based support systems for structuring and managing knowledge in product engineering tasks.
