Description

AASS is the Center for "Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems" at Orebro University, Sweden. AASS is an
interdisciplinary research center pursuing fundamental and applied research in autonomous sensor rich systems,
including robots and intelligent systems. The AASS Mobile Robotics Lab is one of the four interconnected laboratory
that constitute AASS. The other three laboratories are: the Intelligent Control Lab, the Learning Systems Lab, and
the Biologically Inspired Systems Lab.

The AASS Mobile Robotics Lab focus on the integration of AI and Robotics technologies to realize autonomous single-
and multi-robot systems. Cooperative robotics is an active line of research at the AASS Mobile Robotics Lab, which
currently include four main activities:

1) Robotic team-work, that is, how robots can help each-other to achieve both individual and collective goals.
2) Cooperative perceptual anchoring, that is, how robots can share perceptual infomation under conditions of
uncertainty.
3) Robocup, in particular the four-legged league (using the Sony AIBO robots), in which we have taken an active role
since its creation in 1999.
4) PEIS Ecologies, a new project concerned with the study of "ecologies" of physically embedded intelligent systems.
