Description

The "Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica e delle Telecomunicazioni" (DIIT, henceforward) has made a vast research activity in the field of multi-agent systems.
The scientific experience essentially relates to (1) modeling of agent behaviour [23,26,27,31,32] and interoperability mechanisms [3,5,6,7,15,18,21,25,28], (2) naming and location finding aspects in mobile agents [4,11], (3) agent platforms [12,16,23,26,27,31,32], (4) agent applications [1,8,9,10,13,17,24,30] with a particular reference to systems able to support personal mobility [2,14], and user assistance [19,20,22,29].

The DIIT is also involved in several national research projects aiming at realising a world-wide infrastructure for the deployment of agent-based applications.
